The leaves are encased in a hard copper shell after a careful metalising process and finished in red iridescent copper.

The iridescent copper-plated leaves feature an array of earthy shades, in varying intensities from warm copper and rich brown to vibrant red, orange, and rust, and even hints of blue and black. No two pieces are exactly alike, with each leaf featuring its own unique blend of colours and natural variations in size, shape and skeletonization. 

As a natural oxidizing metal, copper will change colour over time developing a browny rustic patina, which is normal and unique to this earthlike mineral.
